Anthropic acquired Stainless, the SDK and MCP platform behind every Anthropic SDK since their earliest API days. The Information pegged the deal at $300M+. Starting June 15, paid Claude plans get a monthly credit for programmatic usage covering the Claude Agent SDK, claude -p, Claude Code GitHub Actions, and third-party apps built on the Agent SDK.
