Mastra started in 2024. Now, Mastra is the leading open-source TypeScript agent framework, we're getting millions of downloads each month, and we've grown to a team of 20-strong. We've also raised $13m from some of the world's top venture firms, including Gradient, basecase, and Y Combinator.

But this isn't just a new thing. We've been building open-source JavaScript for over a decade. Previously, we were the team behind Gatsby, one of the earliest frontend frameworks for modern web apps.

We're based in San Francisco, but our team is spread across the globe. And we can't wait to see what you create with Mastra.
